Growing Jobs and Wages in Michigan
Growing Jobs and Wages in Michigan

Michigan has a rich history of manufacturing excellence, and we need to advance policies that encourage investment and economic growth here at home. I toured Paladin Attachments in Dexter and talked with workers about ways we can grow jobs and wages in our community.
Helping with Social Security and Medicare

My office hosted a Senior Resource Fair this week at the Eaton Area Senior Center in Charlotte. Thanks to all the community organizations who were on hand and to my constituent relations team who provides assistance with Medicare and Social Security difficulties.
Combating the Opioid Crisis

Opioid addiction hits close to home for so many families and communities in Michigan. Together with Rep. Debbie Dingell and Washtenaw County Sheriff Jerry Clayton, we recently hosted a community conversation at Saline High School about how we can reverse the trends of the opioid crisis.
Promoting Great Lakes Stewardship
I met with farmers at Heck Farms in Monroe about ways to encourage conservation and stewardship of the Great Lakes. One of the items we discussed was my recently introduced legislation, the Great Lakes Agricultural Stewardship Act. The bipartisan bill promotes conservation efforts throughout the Great Lakes region and helps farms minimize agricultural pollution risks, like harmful algae blooms on Lake Erie.
Kicking Off the School Year
With the new school year upon us, Dundee Community Schools held a community event to celebrate the school district's new strategic plan. I enjoyed the opportunity to speak and wish everyone a successful school year.
