Fighting for Safer Communities

Fighting for Safer CommunitiesCrime has surged across the country, but as a part of House Republicans' Commitment to America, we will fight to defend our communities from crime, illicit substances, and national security threats. Advocating for a Real Energy StrategyGas prices continue to increase, yet Speaker Pelosi has thus far refused to take up commonsense legislation to expand domestic energy production. The only answer from the Biden administration is massive drawdowns from our Strategic Petroleum Reserve. Make no mistake, political ploys are no substitute for an energy strategy. Rather than recklessly draining our emergency reserves, we need to ramp up the production of American-made energy. |
Supporting our VeteransAcross Michigan's 7th District, there are many resources to assist our veterans, including Little Blessings, an organization in Monroe County offering equine-assisted wellness programs. Little Blessings recently moved to a larger property in Ottawa Lake to expand programming. The work they do to support our local veterans is tremendous and it is encouraging to see further growth of this wonderful organization. |

Recognizing Domestic Violence Awareness MonthOctober is Domestic Violence Awareness month and I had the opportunity to meet with Angelita Gunn from the AWARE Shelter in Jackson. Unfortunately, since the pandemic, studies have shown the severity of domestic violence incidents has increased. We're grateful for those at the AWARE Shelter helping survivors by providing resources needed to get through difficult circumstances. |
