Biden's Price Hike Worsens

September's Consumer Price Index was released this week, and again, inflation was higher than expected. Michigan families continue to struggle to afford daily necessities as the price of groceries and energy continue to skyrocket. Democrats’ out of control spending created this crisis, and they have no plan to fix it. We are in the midst of a recession, and Democrat-controlled Washington will not offer real solutions. It’s time for a new direction.

Meeting with Bedford Superintendent

Recently, I had the opportunity to meet with Dr. French and Dr. Shultz of Bedford Schools to discuss a number of topics including recovering from learning loss, empowering parents, and strengthening career and technical education (CTE). As a member of the Education & Labor Committee, I remain committed to expanding pathways to meaningful careers and ensuring our students are prepared for success. 

Touring Jackson County Airport 

On Monday, I had an informative tour and discussion on economic development at the Jackson County Airport. I enjoyed the opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes look at the work that goes on daily. And a special thank you to Manager Juan Zapata for hosting!

Celebrating National Farmer's Day

This week, we celebrated National Farmer's Day as many begin their fall harvests. Michigan produces one of the widest arrays of crops and our dedicated farmers put in the work to help put food on our tables. Thank you to all the farmers in Michigan who work countless hours, day in and day out.

Upcoming Service Academy Nomination Deadline

As your 7th District Representative in the U.S. House of Representatives, each year I have the privilege of nominating a limited number of high school and college students to four of the five military service academies. The application period will end Friday, October 21.
