Coffee Hours Across the District
Coffee Hours Across the District
It was a pleasure meeting with constituents in Dexter, Potterville, Grass Lake, and Morenci during my recent coffee hours in those communities. We discussed career and technical education, rebuilding our infrastructure, growing our economy, protecting our Great Lakes, and many more important issues.
Honoring our Veterans
Thank you to the Michigan Military Heritage Museum in Grass Lake for for hosting a wonderful ceremony this week honoring our World War II veterans. This special ceremony commemorated the opening of their new 75th anniversary exhibit.
Service Academy Open Houses
Our office hosted Military Service Academy Open Houses in both Jackson and Monroe this past week. It was great to meet so many interested students and have the opportunity to congratulate those who have already received an appointment to one of the academies.
Celebrating the Farming Community
The Saline Rotary hosted their annual farmer's day luncheon this week at the American Legion. I was glad to be on hand to discuss agriculture issues and help celebrate our local farmers and their many contributions to our community.
Getting Results for You

Last session of Congress, we were able to pass meaningful bipartisan legislation dealing with the opioid crisis, human trafficking, and protecting the Great Lakes. These efforts were reflected in a report conducted by Vanderbilt University in partnership with the University of Virginia, which named me as the most effective legislator in the Michigan congressional delegation. I look forward to working hard to continue to get results that matter to the people of the 7th district.
