After passing the largest savings in American history through the One Big Beautiful Bill Act earlier this month, I took to the House floor to speak in favor of the Rescissions Act, which would build on House Republicans' efforts to end Washington's spending crisis. The Rescissions Act will eliminate $9 billion in wasteful spending for far-left foreign programs and biased news coverage, including $18 million to improve gender diversity in Mexican street lighting. This abuse of taxpayer dollars must end. The Rescissions Act represents a vital step in restoring fiscal responsibility.
Hearing from You
I recently had the opportunity to attend the Coldwater Chamber of Commerce's town hall to discuss my work in Congress to provide financial relief for residents of Michigan's 5th District through the passage of the One Big, Beautiful Bill Act. This historic legislation benefits working families by:
Implementing no tax on Social Security for 88% of recipients
Expanding the Child Tax Credit
Preventing a $2,000 tax hike
Getting rid of tax on tips and overtime
Permanently increasing the standard deduction

Rooting out Radical Bigotry on Campus
As Chairman of the Education and Workforce Committee, I held a hearing this week to help examine the factors that incite antisemitism on college campuses with the heads of Georgetown University, the University of California, Berkeley, and the City University of New York (CUNY). We are not opposing First Amendment liberties, nor a normal campus situation where there is debate. However, we must oppose the violence, fear, and alienation felt by Jewish students as a result of administrators and their staff lacking the moral clarity to condemn and punish antisemitism that is creating a hostile environment for Jewish students on America’s campuses.
Promoting Innovation in Wireless Technologies
As a co-chair of the 5G and Beyond Caucus, I understand that the U.S. must remain at the forefront of innovation for future wireless communications networks. On Monday, the House passed the Promoting U.S. Wireless Leadership Act, which I introduced with Representatives Debbie Dingell (D-MI), Tom Kean, Jr. (R-NJ), and Yvette Clarke (D-NY). This vital legislation will establish clear standards to ensure that the next generation of connectivity is built with America's values and economic and security interests in mind. Our future depends on it.
As an avid rider myself, I am proud to advocate on behalf of the motorcycling community. Unfortunately, a 2024 policy change has penalized motorcyclists who try to enter our National Parks using the America the Beautiful annual pass. To restore parity, I have introduced the America the Beautiful Motorcycle Fairness Act, which will require the Secretary of the Interior to issue guidance stating that one America the Beautiful Annual Pass will permit the admittance of two motorcycles into national parks. My legislation would ensure that riders can continue to enjoy the open roads of our national parks.
