Biden’s First Year of Failure

This week marked the one-year anniversary of President Biden’s swearing in. In his first year, our country has experienced rampant inflation, supply chain backlogs, sky-high energy prices, out-of-control crime, and a historic surge at the southern border. Everywhere you look he's created a crisis, making life more expensive and our communities less safe. To listen to my thoughts on the failed policies of the President’s first twelve months, please click here.

Improving Energy Policy

On Wednesday, a senior official from Biden's Department of Energy came before the Energy Subcommittee. I asked him straightforward questions about the guidance and recommendations the Department has been providing the Biden Administration regarding decisions to shut down pipelines pipelines like the Keystone XL, and potentially, Line 5. Astonishingly, the official was unable to answer these simple questions. While we are enduring an energy crisis, and prices continue to go up, it is unacceptable that the Biden Administration repeatedly undercuts energy production here at home.

Stopping Wasteful Spending

Recently, Speaker Pelosi provided congressional offices with masks made in China. According to the Emergency Care Research Institute, 70% of KN95 masks imported from China do not meet U.S. standards and issued a hazard warning in September 2020. Simply put, taxpayer dollars should not be funding the purchase of ineffective masks made in China. I joined my colleagues in sending a letter to Speaker Pelosi to demand answers regarding this wasteful spending decision.

Defending the Right to Life

This weekend, many across the country will march for the rights of the unborn, as our nation marks the 49th anniversary of the fateful Roe v. Wade decision. In Congress, I am proud to be an unwavering voice for the sanctity of life. My voting record defending life garnered an A+ rating from the Susan B. Anthony List this week, and I also recently received recognition from the Faith & Freedom Coalition. I will always uphold my commitment in Congress to protect religious liberty and stand for innocent life.

Standing up for Parents

The recent push by some politicians to undermine the role parents should play in the education of their children, even going as far as labeling some parents as "domestic terrorists," is completely wrong. As a member of the Education and Labor Committee, I continue to advocate for keeping schools open, encouraging parental involvement, and demanding answers from the Biden Administration. Watch my interview this week on American Agenda discussing these important education issues.
