Washington, D.C. - Rep Walberg voted in favor of H.R. 882, the Contracting and Tax Accountability Act, to restore accountability within our tax system. Specifically, the legislation bans seriously tax delinquent companies from receiving new federal contracts.
"This bill will help bring greater accountability to Washington, but ultimately we must pass comprehensive tax reform to create a fairer, simpler tax system that will grow a healthier economy," commented Rep Walberg following the votes.

Educators and industry officials testified about the challenges of training workers for today's jobs during a rare congressional committee field hearing held Tuesday at Monroe County Community College.

Tim Walberg (R-MI) will be joined by Subcommittee on Higher Education and Workforce Training Chairwoman Virginia Foxx (R-NC) to host a field hearing entitled, "Reviving our Economy: The Role of Higher Education in Job Growth and Development." The field hearing will take place at 173 Administration Building in Monroe County Community College, located at 1555 S. Raisinville Road in Monroe, Michigan.
