Monroe News: Dale and Reda Biniecki of Maybee among Monroe County residents at Trump's inauguration

"Upon hearing the news that the 60th Inauguration would take place indoors, I was heartbroken for all the constituents who had planned to come out to witness this historic event," Walberg said. "Right away, we got to work seeing how we could make a memorable experience for those who were looking for a place to watch. From Berrien County to Monroe County, constituents made their way into the Capitol Complex and into my Committee rooms to watch the second Inauguration of Donald J. Trump. While it wasn't what we envisioned a few weeks ago, I was honored to share this memorable day and meet many Michiganders who were eager to be on hand."
Instead, Walberg’s fifth district guests watched the inauguration on big-screen TVs in the congressman's Education & Workforce Committee room in the Rayburn House Office Building, which is part of the U.S. Capitol Complex.
“We were able to go to (Walberg’s) office near the congressional hearing room. It was very nice. We had refreshments, like cookies, potato chips, pizza, soft drinks. It was a nice setting with like-minded people," Dale said.
“Even if we couldn’t see it in person, we were so happy to be there and be with all the people as we watched. They were cheering and applauding,” Reda said.
