Fulfilling Brandon's Dream
It was inspiring to meet Brandon Martz and his family from Jackson County this week. With the help of the Dream Foundation, which fulfill dreams for terminally-ill young people and adults, Brandon and his family are visiting our nation's capital and raising awareness about Duchenne muscular dystrophy. It was an honor to be part of helping turn his dream into reality. Click here to learn more about Brandon's story.
Coffee Hour in Eaton County
Thank you to everyone who came out for my recent coffee hour in Eaton Rapids at GAR Memorial Hall & Museum. I appreciate the opportunity to hear your concerns and answer your questions, and I look forward to continuing to do more across the 7th District.
Improving Support for Missing and Exploited Children Act
This week I helped advance H.R. 1808, the Improving Support for Missing and Exploited Children Act, through the Education and the Workforce Committee. The bipartisan bill updates the Missing Children’s Assistance Act to help the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) strengthen its recovery and prevention efforts. Honoring Vietnam Veterans
I recently had the honor to be at the Lions Club district convention at Baker College in Jackson to pay tribute to those who serve our country and present Vietnam veterans with their 50th anniversary lapel pins.
